CRYPTOCard adds second partner in two weeks

www.ottawabusinessjournal.com, November 19, 2008 -

CRYPTOCard has teamed up with a Georgia security services and technology provider to secure the health-care industry, the Ottawa-based company announced today.

The firm, whose two-factor authentication digital keychain tokens generate one-time passwords to eliminate the problems associated with 'static' passwords, said Roswell, Ga.-based Network Strategies Inc. has joined the CRYPTOCard Partner Program.

The deal will allow Network Strategies to improve virtual private network (VPN) security and to integrate CRYPTOCard's technology with its existing security system for building access. The combined solution will be provided to hospitals, group practices, clinics and medical billing companies, among others.

"Health-care organizations, regardless of size and budget, cannot afford to be crippled by unplanned and lenient security practices which compromise patient identity, regulatory compliance and the safety of other important IT assets," said CRYPTOCard CEO Neil Hollister in a statement, adding that his company's managed services strategy would allow for scalability and also cost savings.

This is the second reseller agreement CRYPTOCard has signed this month, and the sixth of the year. Earlier this month, the company also added Florida-based Worldwide Interactive Services Inc. to its partner program, giving the Ottawa digital security products maker access to more than 400 customers in the United States and the Caribbean.
