Background
The local Lewisham government is constantly under pressure to provide better, faster, and more tailored and inclusive services to its constituents. These services must be provided both securely and economically and thus they have a number of individuals providing services from various locations across the region. With its many dispersed workers accessing networked data through a VPN, Lewisham needed a solution that would ensure that the private and personal information of its residents could not be compromised. The challenge was to provide remote government workers with an easy to use, secure access solution that could be implemented quickly and affordably. They needed to allow both local government workers the ability to access Lewisham systems and to have access to the network from other agencies. To solve their problem and help relieve this pressure, CRYPTOCard was called in to implement its strong managed authentication solution, CRYPTO-MAS.

The result of implementing this solution is that over 250 local authority employees now have secure access when working remotely.
